Background of the Study
Market expansion plays a vital role in fostering economic growth at the local level. In Zuru LGA, Kebbi State, public sector accounting is critical for ensuring that revenue generated from market activities is managed effectively and reinvested to support market expansion initiatives. Transparent and efficient accounting practices enable the local government to allocate resources for infrastructure development, vendor capacity building, and market promotion activities. However, challenges such as mismanagement of funds and inadequate financial planning often hinder market expansion efforts. This study aims to explore the relationship between public sector accounting and revenue generation for market expansion in Zuru LGA.
